Acts Of A Desperate Woman

How is it that the pot can call the kettle black, and then get upset when the kettle responds in kind?

Hillary Clinton recently accused Barack Obama of using "Republican Style" politics when she pointedly stated that he attacked her policy on Universal health Care, and her position on NAFTA. Barack did not say anything about Hillary Clinton and NAFTA that was not true. Hillary Clinton openly supported NAFTA up until the point that she realized she could be a candidate president. Almost similar to how she and Bill Clinton were estranged up until the point that she realized Bill was a viable candidate for president. It was at that point that Hillary gave her now famous "Stand By Her Man" speech.

Hillary Clinton portrays herself as a candidate who runs a clean campaign, yet she has slung more mud than Nixon did against John F. Kennedy, and believe me, Nixon slung a lot of mud.

Hillary is using as her weapons of choice media personalities such as Todd Snick (Better known as MJ), and Tavis Smiley. She is also using vehicles such as Youtube, and The Drudge Report. Regardless, Barack Obama has yet to take a hard swing at Hillary, and that in and of itself is sending Hillary further and further over the edge.

Hillary has became a desperate woman out of control. Her rage, and uncontrollable emotions detracting away from the image she has tried to portray.

Hillary is receiving bad advice from her campaign staff, who themselves are grasping for straws as well. As a result, Hillary relies on Todd Snick (MJ) to attack Obama with racist songs such as "Obama Man Can" and under researched information. The shame of that is MJ, or Todd Snick, is a very intelligent man, as is Tavis Smiley; however, even intelligent people are prone to manipulation.

The bottom line is that, America' Hillary will do and say anything to position herself as the victim in the hopes of playing at the emotions of our nation. That is the same method that had been employed on our nation for the past eight year. George Bush pulled the fear card, and now look at where it has gotten us in the process.

America is in need of real change, not the same old inside the beltway politics that has taken our country down the past to failure. It is time for America to step out on faith, and not be swayed by someone who feels our nation is not intelligent enough to make a rational decision. People like Todd Snick, Tavis Smiley, Matt Drudge, Hillary Clinton, people like that are resistant to change. They do not want what is good for this country. They like Peanut Butter and apple jam. America, it is time for a little grape jelly.

Hillary Can't Stand A Dose Of Her Own Medicine

Recently, Hillary Clinton admonished Barack Obama for a mailing that was sent to the people of Ohio. In the mailing, Clinton's position on Universal Health Care, and NAFTA were mentioned. Hillary immediately used that as an opportunity to make herself look like the victim of shady campaign tactics. Let's Get Real!

This is the same Hillary Clinton who accused Barack Obama of stealing speech material without any tangible proof to back up her claim. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who questioned Barack Obama's blackness in South Carolina. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who openly slammed Barack Obama's approach to Universal Health Care simply because it was not her idea. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who's husband said that Barack Obama is just like Jesse Jackson. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who conspired with Tavis Smiley to paint a picture of she being the only candidate running for the White House that cares about the plight of blacks and Hispanics. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who lied about her involvement with Peter Paul, and secretly had him arrested and thrown into some third world prison. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who's face was not as visible as it should have been in the wake of 9/11. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who's campaign completely mismanaged her campaign funds, and the became upset because Barack Obama was able to raise money without having to go into his private bank account. Shame on you Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who's husband shamed the White House with the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Shame on you and Bill, Hillary.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who was involved in the White Water scandal, and allowed one of her aides to take the fall for her. Shame on you Hillary.

It is so amazing what desperation will force a person to do.

Smiley's Version Of Pearl Harbor

I tuned into CSPAN today, and caught a portion of the morning segment of Tavis Smiley's "State of The Black Union" event. One name seemed to resonate throughout the morning, and that name was Obama. At times I felt as if nothing else was an issue to African America other than Obama.

I decided to watch on, and as the event progressed, I noticed that Tavis appeared to be facilitating an evenly balanced discussion. We heard from Congress Woman Norton from Washington DC, Jesse Jackson, Ray Nagin, and a few other notable voices in the African American community, all of who cited a familiar theme of unity in the African American community. Most of the panel discussed the importance of the African American and Hispanic votes in the election cycle. Yes, everything appeared to be evenly balanced, until the announcement.

According to Tavis Smiley, all four presidential candidates were given an invitation to attend, and speak at the event, but ironically the only person who accepted was Hillary Clinton. Things that make you go, Hummmmmmm.

In an election cycle where every vote counts, why is it only Hillary is able to make an appearance to speak to the black people in New Orleans? Certainly Mike Huckabee would be interested, after all, he is the underdog in the Republican race and he has a foot hold on the south. And then there is Obama. Understandable that he could not make it, and he did offer a concession in the form of his incredibly articulate wife. Tavis Smiley flatly refused to allow Michelle Obama to stand in place of her husband. Why is that?

Here is the bottom line America. Hillary Clinton and Tavis Smiley conspired to launch what is the political equivalent of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Imagine this, Hillary sways the Texas and Ohio voters by presenting a case that Barack Obama did not care enough about Blacks and Hispanics to show up and speak to them at the State of The Black Union Event. It is also a trump card that she can play against McCain, assuming she get's the Democratic nod of approval. Basically, Hillary aligned the cards in her favor, and used a well known talk show host as her means to an end.

America, didn't we get enough of that kind of Tom Foolery over the past eight years? Has Hillary reached such a low point in her campaign that she has to play dirty politics? Does Tavis Smile truly enjoy being the Clinton's house boy?

In politics, even the most educated of people have absolutely no shame.

Move Over Tom, Make Room For Uncle Tavis

Have you ever witnessed the actions of crabs in a steamer pot? Ever noticed how the crabs, in their effort to escape, pull one another down into the pots? They walk over the bodies of the weaker crabs, and claw and snap, push and shove without regards for the other crabs.

My father once likened African Americans to crabs in a pot, and I used to just blow off his words; however, as I have grown, I began to realize that my father was not so far off the beaten path after all. There are assorted sizes of crabs in this pot, and perhaps one of the biggest crabs of all in Tavis Smiley.

The older folk would call him a "Tom" which is a modernized version of the term "Uncle Tom", or another word for one who sells out his people for his own selfish gain. Strong words considering that I do not know the man personally;however, I know his actions, and they are extremely "Tom like".

Here we are in the middle of a presidential election cycle, and the front running Democrat is Barack Obama, a black man. Barack has his hands full trying to fend off slanderous attacks from his rival Hillary, and trying to drum up voters in key states. To say he is busy is an understatement, for Barack has to go none stop to maintain his momentum. Most reasonable people would understand that, but then again, most reasonable people are not Tavis Smiley.

Tavis decides to hold his "State of The Black Union" conference smack in the middle of the primaries. Not to take anything away from that, for I feel it is a good idea to have such a conference, but I think the timing was poor. Tavis wants the conference to be a success, so he invites Barack Obama to speak. There is a problem with that, Obama is campaigning for the office of President of The United States and his schedule will not permit to deviate. Now, Barack Obama offers a concession by suggesting that his spouse Michelle, also an eloquent speaker, stand in for him. In all honesty, that would not have been a bad thing at all. Barack is an awesome speaker, but Michelle can move the pulse of the crowd. I would have said yes, but as it appears, Michelle is not good enough for Tavis Smiley.

So now Tavis is in a situation, for he could not get Barack Obama to break away from the campaign trail and come to his conference; what does Tavis decide to do? He openly slanders Barack Obama, attacking Obama's credibility in the African American community. In other words, Tavis Smiley openly illustrates his support for the Clinton campaign by attacking the one person Hillary cannot handle. Just as with Uncle Tom's cabin, we are now presented with a new breed of sell out. Perhaps we should call this story "Uncle Tavis's Crib", for just as with Uncle Tom, Massah Clinton got his best boy to do his dirty work for him.

Like crabs in the steaming pot, so are the adventures of Uncle Tavis.

Grasping For Straws

This race for the White House has become nasty, and the worst part about it is we are still in the primaries.

We are at a point where we are witnessing desperation on the part of the Clinton campaign. They are firing one negative ad after another in an attempt to strip the momentum away from Barack Obama. On one hand, the Clinton campaign is saying that Obama talks too much, but on the other hand they are saying that he refuses to debate. Which is it? Do you want him to stop talking or continue talking, I am not clear on the position of the Clinton campaign.

The Clinton campaign attacked Barack Obama's work record in the Senate by saying that he is all talk and no action. The fact of the matter is, Obama has introduced more than 800 bills, and Clinton has introduced less than 300. Considering the fact that she has been in the Senate longer than Obama, it certainly appears that Hillary's work ethic is not as sound as Obama's.

In their latest attack, the Clinton campaign is attacking the originality of the speeches given by Barack Obama. Their claim is that Obama plagiarized Martin Luther King. Sure, and Hillary writes all of her own speeches. In reality, politicians have speech writers who develop speeches based on a theme. Indeed, the only reason George W. Bush sounds as if he makes a little sense is due to the fact that someone wrote his speech for him, and then used brightly colored crayons so he could read it. The average candidate has precious little time to completely proof read the speech prior to presenting it. Now this is not to say that Obama should not have been a little more careful. Perhaps he should have asked Michelle to read it to him while he worked on other issues; however, plagiarism amounts to a mere speck of dust in the violent wind storm of the Democratic primaries.

The bottom line is this. Hillary Clinton is losing ground with her power base of voters. Every day she is witnessing an erosion of voters, and observing a rising tide towards Barack Obama. Hillary is drowning in a sea of poorly played campaign ideas, and she is now grasping for straws.

Metaphorically speaking, the Clinton train is about to derail, and her newly hired mudslinger is pulling allegations out of the posterior in an attempt to prevent the train from jumping the tracks. In the end, the overall damage to the Clinton campaign may rest in the hands of her campaign manager, and her husband.

Does Bill Clinton Have Issues With Black People?

Let us pretend that the African American Mind is like the National Inquirer, we want to know.

Realizing that there is a lot at stake during this election cycle. The Clinton name is not holding the kind of clout that it was expected to. The country is being energized by a young vibrant speaker who reminds the country of JFK. White women are turning their back on Hillary, as are blue collar workers. There is a lot at stake here, and there is no disputing that fact.

All of the big guns are being pulled out. Chelsea is stroking the super delegates, and Bill and doing his thing for Hillary. We it looks like Bill is doing his thing, but is he helping his wife, or hurting her cause?

Bill Clinton, the one many called the "Black President", the one who's friend is one Willie E. Gary, the one who truly seemed to relate to Corrine Brown, the one who "high 5'd" Doug E. Fresh at Altel Stadium in Jacksonville Florida. There is no mistaking the fact that Bill Clinton developed quite a bit of respect in the African American community during his term in office; however, that was then, and this is now.

Recently, Bill Clinton was caught cat napping during a speech being delivered by Martin Luther King III in commemoration of his father's birthday. Many would have considered it to be a simple slip, but it did not take an analyst to see that Bill performed more than a few simple "Touch & Go's" during the speech. What was the message being sent during that fateful event? Of Course, that could not have happened at a better time for Hillary. Here she is, attempting to secure that African American vote, and there is her husband giving the impression that Black People bore him. Or, at least they are not worthy of his full and undivided attention.

Maybe saying that Black People bore Bill Clinton is a bit of a stretch, but it seems obvious that he feels that Black People look alike to him; well, at least two Black People look alike to him. During a recent campaign romp in Texas, Bill Clinton was quoted as saying "Barack Obama is just like Jesse Jackson". What a profound and dangerous statement to make, especially when we consider the fact that Hillary needs black votes to survive. To say that Barack Obama is just like Jesse Jackson is as ignorant as it is careless. See, I grew up in about 6 blocks away from Jesse Jackson. Believe me when I tell you, Barack Obama is no Jesse Jackson.

So, what are the ramifications of Bill's comment? Let's break it down it, shall we?

First, the implication could be that Bill is implying that Barack Obama is no better than Jesse Jackson. That Barack's campaign will be regarded as a joke, a waste of time, a publicity stunt. it is almost as if Bill is saying that Barack does not stand a chance of securing the nomination, just as it was with Jesse Jackson. A bold, and ignorant statement.

Second, perhaps Bill Clinton is implying that Barack Obama is all talk and little to no action. Jesse Jackson was the Shadow Senator of Washington DC, and everyone is aware that the Shadow Senators did not have a voting voice in the Senate, ergo all talk and no action. I believe Barack has already proven otherwise.

Third, perhaps Bill Clinton is implying that neither Jesse Jackson, nor Barack Obama have any political relevance in American society. That to consider either as presidential material is an affront to the American people. That neither is as qualified as his wife. Congratulations Bill Clinton, you just played Russian Roulette with the Black Caucus. Not only did Bill Clinton slander one influential leader of the African American community, he slandered two. Like it or not, Jesse Jackson is still a viable voice in the African American community, and will be so even after he is dead and gone.

I understand that Bill Clinton is doing everything he can to assist Hillary, but honestly speaking, he is systematically booby-trapping her campaign. Even if his intentions were just, the phrasing of his comment was as poorly structured as the comment was poorly timed. Indeed, to the ears of the average layman, it would appear that Bill Clinton has issues with Black People.

A Whole Lot Of Clinton Spanking Going On

The race may still be far from over, but one can not help but to notice that the spanking of Hillary Clinton continues.

Hillary wanted Virginia in a bad way. She must have really wanted it, because she took great pride in going onto Entertainment Tonight to attack Barack Obama for what she thought he said during his rally in Alexandria. Well, it did not work, nor did the other ploys that were put in place to discredit Obama.

Here we are now, five million dollars and one campaign manager later, and Hillary still can not explain why she is having such a hard time keeping the Obama Campaign Train at bay.

Could it be the fact that Obama still refuses to wage a campaign based on negative politics (even though Clinton took pride in doing just that)? Perhaps it is the fact that Obama has given straight answers, and has not relied on his wife to do the talking on his behalf; The Clintons, on the other hand, have not been as straight forward. In fact, at times it seemed as if Bill was the one who was in the race for the White House, instead of Hillary.

So, how do you explain it? Here it is, Hillary was given such a large handicap (233 "Super Delegates"), and Barack still catches and passes her by.

Sort of a bit of poetic justice, don't you think?

So, what is the bottom line here? Certainly the lines of battle are still drawn, and Texas will be a slugging match, but honestly speaking, Clinton is going to have her work cut out for her. Barrack will most certainly take Wisconsin, and possibly South Dakota. Hillary may take Texas, but it may not be by much. College students love Barack, as do a lot of conservatives who are disenchanted with John McCain. Barack is also popular with the 45 and under crowd. Clinton will most likely get the Hispanic vote, but will it be enough to lock the race for her?

I'll bet Hillary wishes now that she never gave Barack her butt to kiss. Her butt is now meeting with another four letter word beginning with the letter "K". Still, she can salvage this mess, and all she has to do is kiss and make up so that Barack may consider her for Vice President. If not, well, you know that Numinous Owl is always available for the job.

Hillary Caught With Her Pants Down

Super Tuesday be darned! Certainly Hillary Clinton had an awesome run on February 5th 2008, racking up the delegates in various states, enjoying a small but comfortable lead, and basically giving the Obama campaign her butt to kiss. Hillary had it all going for her, until she made a couple of critical mistakes along the way.

Her first mistake being the fact that she completely mismanaged her campaign funds and had to inject five million personal dollars into the kitty to keep her campaign afloat. She completely under estimated the dedication of the people who follow Barrack Obama. By way of the Internet, the Obama campaign not only met, but exceeded the funds that the Clinton campaign added to their kitty. That's right, Obama added 7 million worth of donated funds to his campaign, unlike Clinton, who went into her personal bank account. What's wrong Bill? Trying to buy the election for your wife? Hey, we are Americans, not prostitutes.

Hillary's second, and most critical mistake was assuming that her name, "Clinton" would bolster her credibility in the primaries and caucuses for Washington State, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Maine. At last look, Obama was not only declared the winner, but beat Clinton by a sizable margin in each of those states. Where Clinton once enjoyed a 100 delegate lead over Obama, she is now struggling to maintain a lead of less than 30.

Bottom line is this, America is sick and tired of the status quo, and is looking for real change. Obama is the best representation of that change, and America realizes it.

So, what is next for the Clinton campaign? Honestly speaking, the intelligent move would be for Hillary to reach out to Obama in the hopes of becoming his Vice President. If, and when Obama wins the Democratic nomination, the mighty GOP juggernaut is finished. McCain is not liked by many in Republicans in America, and his personality does not stand a chance against the like of a Barrack Obama. Add Hillary Clinton to the ticket, and the democrats have a combination that will lead the country for the next eight, and perhaps twelve years to come. That, my friend is an extremely wonderful picture.

And So What Does It Mean?

I don't believe that we will be able to find anyone in America who was not shocked by Mitt Romney's decision to withdraw him campaign. There are those who will say that the action was expected after John McCain ran all over him on Tuesday 2/5/08. To those people, I would to say follow your history when it comes to McCain and the Republican Party. He is not exactly the GOP Golden Child.

As a matter of fact, the GOP placed more faith in Guilarni and Romney than they ever did in McCain. So, Romney's announcement that he was suspending his campaign caught me quite by surprise, initially. Then my political mind began to ponder the action.

We have seen this move before, well many of us have. If you were born after 1980, you would not have any memory of it. Here we have Mitt Romney running against John McCain. Suddenly Romney decides to drop out of the race. Romney certainly had more charisma than McCain, so what would drive Romney to just hang up his hat? Let's do a time warp to 1980.

George H. W. Bush was running against Ronald Reagan. Yes, Reagan was this big Hollywood actor, and the Governor of California (seems all California wants are actors to govern their state), but Bush - by comparison - had much more charisma than Reagan. Bush decided to drop out of the race to become president, and Ronald Reagan picked him up as a running mate. What that did was create an essentially unstoppable ticket for the GOP. Without a doubt, there was nothing the DNC could do to beat that ticket. The Reagan/Bush combination would also win by a landslide in 1984 simply because they were unstoppable.

Ok, back to the present. Just supposing for a moment that John McCain decides to take Mitt Romney on as a running mate. The GOP will essentially control not only the hardened conservatives, but will also have a hand on the more uncertain and liberal elements that have not aligned themselves with either Obama or Clinton. In essence, the GOP would create what they will believe to be an unbeatable ticket.

How can, and should the DNC counter this move? My recommendation would be to create the unbeatable Democratic ticket. Either Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton. Clinton is in touch with the older more conservatively minded liberals , and she has strong credibility in the Hispanic community. Obama, on the other hand has excellent rapport with the college/young adult (20 something to 30 something) portion of the population, and he has won over a sizable portion of the middle class, which is an area that the GOP lost touch with during the administration of George H. W. Bush. Together, Obama and Clinton present a balance which would bolster the confidence of the average mainstream American voter. In my humble opinion, a ticket such as Obama & Clinton (in either combination) represents America's best option for real, positive and lasting change.

America is still at the cross roads, and now it is up to you to decide in which direction America will go.

America At The Crossroads

February 5th 2008 promises to be a date that may reside in infamy. Super Tuesday, the date where several states hold their respective primaries. What a heated set of primaries they promise to be.

We now know that the Republican playing field has been reduced to four viable options, those being John McCain, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Ron Paul (although I can not understand for the life of me why he is still clinging onto hope at this point).

We also know that the Democratic playing field has been reduced to two, those being Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. With Edwards dropping from the race, it has become a slug fest between Clinton and Obama. The only question remaining is how will Edwards dropping from the race affect the outcome of the Democratic primaries yet to be held?

With the exception of Ron Paul, the Republican slate looks fairly typical. Middle aged, wealth Caucasian men, that usual status quo which had become the ear mark of the Grand Old Party. The Democrats, however, are presenting an extremely unique slate. Two minorities taking on the white establishment of the GOP. Although Hillary Clinton is Caucasian, she is still classified as a minority by the current standards in American society.

America is faced with an interesting challenge. Here, most Americans are fed up with the mismanagement of our nation at the hands of the Bush Administration, so much so that even hardened Republicans are bending an ear in the direction of the Democratic message. The problem with that is many people in America tend to be unwilling to take a step out on faith, and place their trust in the hands of either a young idealistic African American male, or even a Caucasian female for that matter. This is a direct result of our nation being mislead by the rhetoric of what had initially been identified as the white ruling class in America. Remember these were the same people who created the conditions that compelled women and blacks to fight for their rights to vote and be treated equally in America, you know, rights which were guaranteed by the Constitution of The United States, but twisted to fit the needs of wealth white men instead?

Super Tuesday will be a defining point in the history of America, for it will help to clear up the picture, and set the playing field for the National Elections in November 2008. Considering the current level of dissatisfaction with the GOP as a direct result of eight years of ignorance with the Bush Administration, it is extremely likely that the National Elections will yield America's first minority president; indeed, a presidency who's time has come as it has been long overdue.

There will be a lot of mudslinging, as well as activity by white extremist groups and other racially motivated factions the closer we get to the National Elections. There will be attempts by some to scare young, and minority voters away from performing their Constitutionally Guaranteed right to cast their vote. I am fairly confident that there may even be some of the same Bush Brothers brand of ballot manipulation as we had experienced in 2000.

Bottom line people is simple, do not allow anyone, and I do not care who they say they are, but do not allow anyone to deter you from voting on February 5th, and during the National Elections in November. This country belongs to the people, not to the Klan, Skinheads, Bonesmen, or any other manipulative faction of society. Remember, it matters not if the person is White, Black, Male, or Female. What matters is that you vote your heart for the person you trust. Your vote counts, so just be sure that you get out there and you vote. America is at a crossroads, your vote may be the one that gets us going in the right, pardon me, in the CORRECT direction (the RIGHT has been the wrong direction for the past eight years).
