Jesse Jackson's Endorsement Of Obama

 

There was a recent article on Black Voices which spoke of Jesse Jackson endorsing Barack Obama, an action that I feel is good. True to form with these Interner forums, there are those who elect to leave comments. I wanted to address a few of those comments in particular, like this one from:

2. Jesse Jackson is irrelevant to today's politics. He became obsolete to many black folks several years ago. I'm not sure why you wasted space and time interviewing him. Now, Is it just me, or are there a bunch of White People acting like they are Black People, and posting in the Black Voices forum?

White America is running scared that a Black Man just might win the Democratic Nomination and they want to do everything in their tiny little bit of power to stop it. So they come into an all Black forum, and post negative remarks about a Civil Rights Icon.

I grew up a few block from the Jacksons in Washington DC. Jesse Jr. and I used to play street football in our younger days. Sure, Jesse has his faults, as do many people in this country, but he still has a voice, and that voice is protected by the Constitution just like everyone else.

White America needs to wake up, because a new dawn is coming, and all of their ploys are going to backfire. I applaud Jesse Jackson for endorsing Obama, as I applaud every one who endorses Obama.

As for White, Conservative, "We are so afraid of change" America, Keep Your Negative Emails, and Worthless Comments to yourself. You had eight years of your Good Ole Boy fornicating America, now let's get a real leader in the White House.

Bottom line people is "If you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything". Stop falling for the lies of White America and stand behind those who have made a difference in African America.

Bill Clinton's Interpretation Of "I Have A Dream"

Ok, I have a great deal of respect for Bill Clinton. Under his administration our economy blossomed, and the faith of many was renewed as the direct result of his presidency; however, I drew great exception to the fact that he and his wife have engaged in mud slinging politics against Barak Obama.



In my humble opinion, the Obama campaign ought to take this video and have a party with it. Here is former President Bill Clinton nodding off as a speach about our progress since the death of Martin Luther King Jr. It is almost as if Clinton is saying that black people bore him. "Hey Hillary! Take a look at what your man is doing to your campaign!"


Nothing personal against Bill Clinton, but if you are going to call the kettle black, you better make sure you are not the pot.

Remember That Sandwich?

On January 17th, 2007 I posted an article entitled "Making An Iranian Sandwich". In that article I touched on some rather interesting points about our present involvement in Iraq, and Afghanistan. I pointed out information about the insurgency, which President George W. Bush is currently using as his excuse for keeping our troops in Iraq, and away from their families.

I pointed out the fact that the Taliban is nothing more than a mere thought in the wind, and that our resources would be better used in direct support of our homeland. I also pointed out the fact that from a geographical aspect, our troops are being strategically placed to attack Iran on two fronts.

Now I also gave a timeline of events, and many of you will say that I was way off the mark. Allow me to state that I miscalculated the year of the Presidential elections. I was thinking that November 2007 was the month of the general elections, and my timeline was solely based on that at the time.

Here we are, approximately 1 year later, and as you can see by the news reports, many of the events outlined are coming true. The trouble with prophesy is that one can not put an exact date on it. Here we are in January 2008, and George Bush is pushing increased rhetoric about Iran and terrorism. He has not let go of his notion about Iran's nuclear program, and now he is beefing up the forces in Afghanistan.

The reasoning behind the increased presence in Afghanistan is to stave off an expectant spring time resurgence of the Taliban. That is what the American people are being told. The true reason for the increased presence is to place sufficient troops as close as possible to the Afghanistan/Iranian border in preparation for an assault on Iran.

In a sense, we have gone from being the champions of the weak and into the status of an International Conqueror, of which nothing good can come out of. Here is a thought, let us hold the White House accountable. Let us have them produce verifiable proof that Iran is the threat to our nation that George Bush is attempting to portray them to be. Between you and me, I honestly do not think he can produce such proof.

May God help the man or woman who sits in the Oval Office after Bush leaves, for he or she will shoulder the blame for the failed foreign police of the Bush Administration.

Trying To Beat A Deadline

Hey America, do me a favor; raise your hand if you are either mentally slow, under educated, or just plain easy to fool. I will bet you that other than a few people in Kentucky, that not many hands went up. Here in America, we pride ourselves on being politically smart and savvy, yet many people in America have been duped by an idiot in a suit and a tie.

Several people in America thumbed their noses at Michael Moore. They called him the dumbest white man in America (as if saying he is dumber than George Bush and the Klu Klux Klan). Michael Moore painted a picture about America invading three nations. Quick now! Show of Hands! Who can name those three nations?

Yes, Afghanistan was one of them. Most certainly, Iraq was another. Now the third? Hey! Why is everybody getting quiet now? Oh, maybe you are rushing to Blockbusters to rent Fahrenheit 911. Save the trip, the other nation is Iran. You know, the very nation that Bush is posturing against right now. A country that Bush is blaming a fictitious Nuclear Weapons Program on. A country that Bush accused of sending terrorist into Iraq to disrupt the US effort to stabilize that nation. The very nation who's small speed boats were classified as naval combatants.

Ok, the speed boats, I can agree with the US Navy's concern about them, but let's be real here, a Barry Class Destroyer can take one of those boats out with a quick burst of 50 cal.

So what is really going on? Bottom line, Bush wants Iran, and he needs to do it before April, otherwise he will be accused of creating a quagmire for the next President to clean up. What we will hear over the next few weeks is George Bush attempting to justify an attack on the nation of Iran, who has done nothing to us. Funny thing about it is, if Bush is successful, Russia will respond because we will be knocking on their back door.

America this is about a serious as it gets. it was not bad enough that we did not have a legitimate reason to invade Iraq, other than the fact that Bush wanted to get his nuts off by seeking revenge for his impotent daddy. Now he has his sights on Iran, after trying to convince America that he was not going to do what Micheal Moore said was going to happen in Fahrenheit 911. Trouble is, a lot of you people feel face first into the web of lies spun by the White Recluse Spider currently occupying the White House.

Yes, get mad, I don't care. You supported him, and stood behind him. Oh you just knew he was doing the right thing. Damned if the economy is falling apart back home. Gas prices going to the sky? Who care? Our President is hunting Islam, so we can tolerate a little inflation. We know what the President says is true because CNN, FOX and ABC said it is true.

You have all been hoodwinked, and now our soldiers, sailors, air persons, and marines are stuck right in the middle of a SNAFU of Presidential proportions. See what happens when you don't think for yourself, but allow the Government to use your fear to drive your vote?

Bush is trying to beat a deadline. He has to take Iran before April. He's going to try, and our troops are going to endure more stress. Our nation is going to endure more financial hardship. So ask yourself; should we have taken a closer look at those hanging chads during the 2000 election?

How can you tell that the Republicans are afraid of the power of American Vote? How can you tell that the GOP is fearful of the possibility that a Black Man could become President of the United States? How can you tell that some ignorant people in America will never adapt to real change?

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegience nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

It is more important than ever for African Americans to turn out in force and vote to send a strong message to the Conservative Right Wing of this country that we are no longer going to stand for their lies and scare tactics.
