Making An Iranian Sandwich

I read an interesting article in USA Today. In the article, the newly appointed Secretary of Defense tours Afghanistan, and he spoke with several members of the American military leadership who are now stationed in that country. According to Mr. Gates, the Generals are requesting additional troops to help counter a Taliban uprising. Problem is, no one has witnessed such an uprising, nor do they have any clear indication that an uprising is looming on the horizon. At best, they can only speculate. Regardless, Mr. Gates is making his case for an increase in troop strength in Afghanistan. Perhaps, fielding the argument that an increase in troop strength will help us find Osama Bin Laden faster.

Now, I could not help but to noticed just how quickly this announcement came on the heels of the President's decision to increase the troop strength in Iraq. The President's argument is that it will allow us to stabilize Iraq and have our troops home by November. I honestly hope you are not holding your breath for that event to happen.

In case you are stuck in the slow lane, or perhaps had experience in riding the short bus, Bin Laden has not been visible for more than 3 years now. Although it may be likely that he is still alive, his Taliban force is no more credible and a group of Boy Scouts attempting to defeat Godzilla. In a nut shell, if we do not have Osama in custody yet, then we are merely spinning our wheels. Oh? You doubt that assessment? Ok, allow me to introduce another more credible theory. Osama Bin Laden was never a target for us in Afghanistan, he is an excuse. The White House is using Osama Bin Laden as an excuse to keep US forces in Afghanistan, and to provide justification for an increase in our troop strength.

G. W. Bush has America so convinced that we are going to catch the man who attacked us in 2001, that most of us have become blind to the truth. The real target in Afghanistan is not Osama Bin Laden, just as the real target in Iraq was not Saddam Hussein. The real target is Iran, and if you do not believe me, look at your map of that region.
Bush knew that if Saddam Hussein was executed that the resistance in Iraq would escalate to the point that we (America) would be "Forced" to send additional troops to help stabilize the country. Further, Bush is now painting a picture of no confidence in the ability of the puppet Iraqi Government to effectively police the nation. Bush's solution? Pump 21,000 extra US fighting men and women into that country. Let's stop there for a brief moment, and look at this decision from an alternate perspective.

When we consider the Iraqi insurgency, we notice that we are dealing with poorly or untrained people who just want the outsiders to leave their country. They are not well equipped and to be honest, this insurgency is but a fly on the neck of the American Giant. In a sense, it is like the Klu Klux Klan going toe to toe with LA Police Department; it simply is not any kind of a contest. With that thought in mind, 21,000 additional troops is like taking an ocean to extinguish a match. So what will these extra troops be used for?

How many of you enjoy sandwiches? You do know how to make a sandwich, right? You take two slices of bread, and put something in between and boy oh boy, if that ain't some good eating. People, G. W. Bush and his hired group of thugs have their eyes set on making an Iranian Sandwich. This is not too difficult to do, all it takes in one slice of Iraq, one slice of Afghanistan, and Iran in the middle. Here is how the scenario is going to play out:

1. American troops are deployed to bolster the forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
2. The additional forces in Iraq will simulate engaging the Arab Insurgency, while the forces in Afghanistan will continue to hunt for Bin Laden.
3. G. W. Bush and crew will continue to slander the nation of Iran with trumped up lies about alleged Weapons of Mass Destruction.
4. US Intelligence will indicate that Osama Bin Laden has been located and that he is being hidden inside of Iran.
5. G. W. Bush will plead to the United Nations for a resolution to have Iran surrender Osama Bin Laden, and cease their nuclear ambitions.
6. Iran will insist that they do not have Osama, and that their nuclear program is strictly for energy purposes only.
7. As a precaution, G. W. Bush will order forces in Iraq to head to the Iranian border to prevent the possible escape of Osama Bin Laden, and to safeguard again a possible Iranian surge into Iraq.
8. B-52 and B-1 bombers will be ordered to Diego Garcia, and the 6th and 7th Fleets will deploy additional carrier battle group assets into the region.
9. The time limit for the resolution will expire, and G. W. Bush will order a full assault on the Iranian nuclear facilities, followed by an invasion of the country of Iran.
10. This will all take place within the next 3 to 7 months.

Now, it may not happen in that order, but let's be realistic here; there is simply no other justifiable reason for the United States to commit additional troops into either country. Bush merely wants an Iranian sandwich, and he is willing to get it at all cost. The Bible indicates in these times the Anti-Christ will walk amongst us. I am here to say that not only has he been walking amongst us, but he has been calling the shots from the throne of the world’s only remaining superpower. Those who continue to follow Bush will follow him right into Hell, for that is where he is leading our country.

Kuwait Predicts Strike On Iran

Kuwait media: U.S. military strike on Iran seen by April

www.chinaview.cn 2007-01-14 15:19:28

Special report: Iran Nuclear Crisis

KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. might launch a military strike on Iran before April 2007, Kuwait-based daily Arab Times released on Sunday said in a report.

The report, written by Arab Times' Editor-in-chief Ahmed al-Jarallah citing a reliable source, said that the attack would be launched from the sea, while Patriot missiles would guard all Arab countries in the Gulf.

Recent statements emanating from the United States indicated the Bush administration's new strategy for Iraq doesn't include any proposal to make a compromise or negotiate with Syria or Iran, added the report.

The source told al-Jarallah that U.S. President George W. Bush recently had held a meeting with Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and other assistants in the White House, where they discussed the plan to attack Iran in minute detail.

Vice President Dick Cheney highlighted the threat posed by Iranto not only Saudi Arabia but also the whole Gulf region, according to the source.

"Tehran is not playing politics. Iranian leaders are using their country's religious influence to support the aggressive regime's ambition to expand," Dick Cheney was quoted by the source as saying.

Indicating participants of the meeting agreed to impose restrictions on the ambitions of Iranian regime before April 2007 without exposing other countries in the region to any danger, the source said "they have chosen April as British Prime Minister Tony

Blair has said it will be the last month in office for him. The United States has to take action against Iran and Syria before April 2007."

Claiming the attack will be launched from the sea and not from any country in the region, he said "the U.S. and its allies will target the oil installations and nuclear facilities of Iran ensuring there is no environmental catastrophe or after effects."

The source added that the U.S. has started sending its warships to the Gulf and the build-up would continue until Washington has the required number by the end of this month.

"U.S. forces in Iraq and other countries in the region will be protected against any Iranian missile attack by an advanced Patriot missile system," the source noted.

The Bush administration believes that attacking Iran will create a new power balance in the region, calming down the situation in Iraq and paving the way for their democratic project, which have to be suspended due to the interference of Tehran and Damascus in Iraq, according to the source.

Questions:

1) Has it been conclusively proven that Iran has nuclear weapons? ( ) Yes or ( ) No
2) Does there exist a single shred of intelligence to implicate Iran in any plot to attack the US? ( ) Yes or ( )No
3) Since 1988, has Iran been in a position to flex its naval muscle? ( ) Yes or ( ) No
4) Has Iran attempted to intervene in the unjustified war declared in Iraq? ( ) Yes or ( ) No
5) Has Iran made any direct attack on Israel, or any Israeli points of interest? ( ) Yes or ( ) No

If the answer to 3 or more is No, then the US has no clear reason for wanting to attack Iran, and Bush's motives are ulterior. If you have not seen Fahrenheit 911, now would be a good time to watch it. Pay close attention to the connection that Michael Moore makes between Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. The bottom line is Bush is seeking global dominance for the United States. It is obvious, for there is clearly no other justification for his actions. The fool is on an Aryan power trip, and it is going to have severe ramifications for our country. That means more soldiers dying for an unjust cause, and heads up, now we have to carry passports when we leave the country, so that means more people will become targets of Anti-American aggression. Seems to me that we have a terrorist waging war against terrorism.

Remember, Terrorist Usually Hide In The Bush.
Looks Like An Abuse Of Power To Me

Somebody had this online listed as a funny video. Take a look at it:

Now, maybe it is just me, but I fail to see the humor in this video. Yes, I agree the lady was slightly resistant, but I also noticed that she was afraid. I know some brothers may say that she did not seem to be afraid, but let me tell you, for most women, loud talking is a defense mechanism. It removes the appearance of weakness which people often equate to the female gender. Believe me, she had two police officers approaching her car, at night, she was afraid.

With that thought in mind, the tazing is an abuse of judicial powers. That is how I see it. You may or may not agree with me. Share your thoughts.

Looks Like Santa Got Stuck.

MISSOULA, Mont. -- A 280-pound man who tried to break into a craft and hobby store by crawling in through a cooling duct got stuck and died, authorities said.

The Missoula County coroner's office identified the man as Kenneth Ellingson, 37, of Missoula, and said the cause of death was positional asphyxiation.

The owner of the Treasure Chest hobby store arrived for work around 8:30 a.m. and called 911 when he found the store had no electricity and the phone was out, said police Lt. Mike Brady.
"In the course of looking into what happened, officers found the phone lines had been cut and the power to the building had been tampered with," Brady said. "They also found a ladder leaning against the back of the business and used it to get access to the roof."
There, they found Ellingson wedged headfirst in a cooling duct, Brady said.

Authorities said the 6-foot-tall, 280 pound man got stuck in an L-shaped portion of the duct probably around 3 a.m. or 4 a.m.
**********************************************************************************
It is never a nice thing to gain satisfaction from someone else's misfortune, but certain things in life are just plain common sense. Here it is, someone was trying to beat the system, and ended up losing his life in the process.

I guess the most important question is why was he breaking into the store in the first place? No, even better than that; considering all of the stores one has to choose from, why try to break into a hobby and crafts store? What? Was he afraid the green beads would be gone in the morning. Then the next question; what would make him think he could fit into the Air Conditioning ducts anyway?

Let's get real here. Who did he think he was , Bruce Willis? I guess in Hollywood, anyone can slip into a duct. My opinion is this fool was either drunk, high, stupid or some combination of the three. Stories are written about people who do great things. Legends are written about people who do foolish things. Got to admit, a 6ft tall 280 pound man trying to fit into an AC duct is pretty damned foolish. I guess he must have figured that if Santa Claus could fit into a chimney, then an AC duct should have been easy. God gave us a brain with which to think, and it seems that some people, no matter how old they get, still can not seem to figure out how to use said brain.

How Dumb Can People Be?

James Brown has yet to rest in peace. His embalmed body lies in a sealed casket at his South Carolina home while his family and attorneys argue over his estate and final resting place. Security guards maintain constant watch over the Godfather of Soul — whose coffin sits in a temperature-controlled room — while issues surrounding his estate are hashed out.

*******************************************************************************
You know, this is a darned shame that a man can not even be laid to rest because of some idiotic controversy that really means nothing at all. James Brown, The God Father Of Soul, is still waiting to be buried, simply because some greedy folk want to haggle over his estate. Instead of these people thinking about how much they are going to miss James Brown, they are busy playing the "It's Mine" game. I am going to say this, and it is going to piss a whole lot of people off, but I used to be shocked at how fast our children are maturing in this our present day. Children as young as three seem to have more maturity that some adults. I guess that is fuel for the furnace, because someone has to be the grown ups. Since most adults in America are stuck in a juvenile mode, I guess we will have to look at the little kids for a truly mature perspective.

Yes, I am going there with my comments, and for good reason. All James Brown did was entertain our country. Sure, he had his share of problems, just like everyone else, but that is over now. He is no longer with us; well, I guess he is still with the people in the house in South Carolina, but you know what I mean. God has called James Brown home, so why not allow his physical body to go to eternal rest. I am pretty sure if he could say anything right now, he would open that coffin and say "Y'all Quiet All That Fuss Down Now. Can't You See A Brother Is Trying To Sleep?"

Settle the probate issues after James had been properly buried. I mean really, why keep the man waiting any longer?

Thank You For Serving Your Country, By The Way, We Sold Your

Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Collard Greens And Pork And Beans! What in the world is going on in America these days. Here we have Army Reserve Specialist Patrick Ronalin who spent several months putting his life on the line in Iraq, only to return home and find that he had little more than the clothes on his back. Seems, while specialist Ronalin was fighting for our right to remain free, someone caused a financial situation which affected his payments to his storage facility. Being the dedicated and responsible soldier he is, Spc. Ronalin quickly fixed the situation (5.0 performance Spc. Ronalin), but I guess the storage facility felt it was not enough.

So what happens? Spc. Ronalin comes home, his car is there, but most of his other belongings have been sold by the storage facility. I guess the owner of the storage facility must have been some kin to Bin Laden or Al-Quida. Ok, maybe that was a little harsh, but hell, this is America, and we used to cut our fighting people a break once upon a time ago. I know it is business, and people are in business to make money, but come the heck on for a second or two. This is a soldier who did not have immediate access to his account or the storage facility for several months. If he was some other dead beat who was not fighting the good fight for our country, I would have agreed with the storage facility; however, this proud American was pissed on by the very people he is fighting to protect. Listen up America, even though Bush is trying to push us this way, Iraq is not Vietnam. Treat our soldiers with respect. Now, everyone grab hands, and on the count of three we are going to sing the chorus of God Bless The USA.

You Are Better Than Who?

You know, there is a funny thing about our great nation, and some of the people in it. Just when others seem the think they have you pinned down, there is always a way to come out on top.

Case in point, allow us to consider the people who feel they can deter your process by some minor action. These are the people who look at you and say "No no no, we don't want you playing with us" metaphorically speaking. To that I say "No problem, your elementary level games are much too slow for me anyway. The big kids down the street said I can play with them anyway".

I find it hard to believe that there are people who regard what they do as some sort of club which has a ritual of passage or something. May it is deeper than that; maybe these people believed that their little butts should be kissed or something. Well, they got the "Ki" in the word correct at least, can't say that much for the other two letters.

Look, it is like this, these people need to realize that they are not the only game in town, and definitely not the only sand on the freaking beach. Yeah, they may know a thing or two, but so do other people in the world as well. Bottom line is this, America will only maintain its greatness when people stop stabbing each other in the back for their own childish and selfish gain. "Sorry, you are not welcome in our club", well I say "I've seen what goes on in your club, and I am glad I am not welcome. Grow up and find some women instead of each other".

Hey, don't be alarmed, I am just blowing off a little steam. Most of the people I encounter are extremely well rounded and grounded individuals. The kind of people who I would put my name on the line for. This blog is not about you. No, it is about the percentage of America who seem to think their poop don't stink. I think they need to smell it again.

Caught Between Iraq And An Impotent Executive Office

There has been a lot of discussion in recent days about the next steps for Iraq. It is no secret that the President of The United States wants to increase the troop level by authorizing a surge into Iraq. The Democratic Congress has indicated that they will fight that endeavor with every fiber of their beings. What's, shall I ask who's left hanging in the balance? If your answer is the men and women wearing our nation's uniform, I would say you are totally accurate. Let us take a look at this picture from some different angles.

When we consider a troop surge, let us take into account the reason when we would surge in the first place. Oh, I am sorry, let us define what a surge is first. Surging is the act of combining multiple units into one powerful punch. If used right, a surge could weaken a military from and overwhelm the enemy with the first blow. Total victory is assured when multiple surges are used simultaneously, thereby ensuring the enemy forces will be stretched beyond their operational capacity. Of course, this tactic is best used against a large forces. So why is Bush surging troops into Iraq? His answer is to quell the ever growing insurgency, but is that the true reason? Let us be practical, to surge troops against an insurgency would have the same effect as shooting a jello mold with a B B Gun. Yeah, we may poke a few holes, but they just fill right back in. This is especially true when we consider that this is a Muslim Insurgency, and every one that dies is considered a Martyr. I think the White House is clearly aware of this, and perhaps the notion of surging additional troops is not so much a means of shoring up Iraq as it is a ploy to get additional boots on the deck for an attack on Iran. Bush calls himself a Reagan Republican, but it seems he missed the lesson on covert activity which was the hallmark of the Reagan Administration. Some things are just obvious. Why would you need a tank to kill a fly? No, this troop surge is a prelude to something larger, and the White House has been rattling Iran's cage for a few months now.

On the other side of the stage, we have the new Democratic Congress, and their pledge to withhold funds for Bush to carry out the war in Iraq. Well, let's be nice, they said there would be no "Blank Check" for additional funding of a troop surge. That can be look at in a few ways. One way would be to say that the Democrats are trying to force Bush to do what is right and bring our boys and girls home. The flip side of he coin is the power play by the Democrats can been seen as an assault on our troops. Remember what Bush did to John Kerry recently. Look, I will be the first to admit that I do not agree with the war in Iraq. It was an unnecessary expenditure of US Military resources; however, I do believe that as long as we have boots on deck in Iraq, we need to keep them funded to support the current operation. When military budgets are cut, the ammunition runs out. Sorry, but the "Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes" theory will not work in modern warfare. When you cut military budgets, the medicine and medical supplies run out. When you cut military budgets, the gas for the tanks, the trucks, and the planes run out. When you cut military budgets, the food runs out; have you ever tried to fight on an empty stomach? I agree with the Democrats when it comes to ensuring that we do not further escalate the situation, but I disagree when it comes to the point of cutting the life blood of the soldiers in the field. Hey, they did not ask to go over to Iraq, Bush ordered them there. If you have a fight, go after the right person. Take your beef out with Bush, but do not leave the troops high and dry.

There is never going to be real agreement about the war in Iraq. Personally, I could give a rat's butt about Iraq. I just want our men and women back home safely and with their families. Sleeping in their own beds, hugging their children, fishing with their dads. When you really look at it, the true victims of the conflict between the GOP and the Democrats are the soldiers, the sailors, the Air persons, and the Marines. Let's do what Freda Payne said, and let's bring the troops home alive.

Victim Of Friendly Fire

I was forced to do something today that I really did not want to, but had to because of a situation. I had to break ties with a long time friend who found me after 15 years. The pitty in the situation is that I had to cut ties with her over something that was not a direct fault of her own. I had to cut ties with her because of an association with another person who harbors a desire to affect me and my family in a negative light. I can not have negativity in my life; not at this point; not while I am making strides in a very positive direction.

This negative situation was bought to me by someone who I value even more highly than I value myself. When my daughter comes to me crying because of an encounter that was not of her doing, I am compelled to act in the interest of her protection. I acted, and the result of my action is to completely distance myself, and my family from a dark and hideous past so that we can emerge into a new world away from the shackles that has held us back for so long. Indeed, we are moving away from the crabs at the bottom of the barrel which try to pull the ones at the top down. About the only problem with this approach is as long as the negative past has an avenue to us, we can not escape it successfully.

As I said previously, my friend is not the negative aspect, but she has an association with that negative past. As a result of that association, she became the victim of friendly fire in the war to liberate my family from the negative situation. I know that I have hurt my friend by breaking the friendship; however, as with every war, sometimes collateral damage must be sustained in order to ensure the success of the mission. The needs of the many clearly outweigh the needs of the few.

It was never my intention to hurt my friend, but I had to do what needed to be done. I can only hope and pray that she will understand why I had to take such a step. God will never allow me to lose sight of the fact that she is a freind, and she will always remain my sister in Christ. I can only hope she will find it in her heart to forgive me for having to take such a drastic step.

Child Charged For Wetting Pants At School

Mom Says Special Education Student Was Scared
POSTED: 3:21 pm EST January 4, 2007

DANVILLE, Pa. -- A 12-year-old special education student in Montour County, Pa., is charged with disorderly conduct.

Authorities said she deliberately wet her pants at school. Her mother disagrees.
The child's mother told the Press Enterprise it happened because her daughter was frightened by the principal.

The girl had been preparing a holiday lunch with her classmates and teachers at
Danville Middle School on Dec. 20. Her mother said when her daughter refused to go to the kitchen to wash some pots and pans, teachers summoned Principal Kevin Duckwork, who confronted the girl.
She then wet her pants.

Her mother said the girl is terrified of Duckwork and has wet herself during previous confrontations with him. But Danville Police Chief Eric Gill said school officials are at their "wit's end" with the girl, and they believe her actions were deliberate.

Police told the girl's parents they could probably avoid a fine if they agree to have the girl do community service.
****************************************************************************

Ok, so we have a mentally challanged young girl who had the piss scared out of her, and they want to charge her with disorderly conduct??

Quick! Someone tell me what I missed here.

People, let us be real here for a second. First of all, the child is 12 years old and mentally challanged. What the hell did the principal expect when he jumped up in her face? There are several adults who are not mentally challanged and will piss their pants if you scare them a certain way.

It never ceases to amaze me to know that regardless of how full our court system is, we still find time for bull crap like charging a child for pissing on herself. Is this the kind of world we are living in? How about charging the principal with disorderly conduct for bullying the poor little girl in the first place.

I will say this, reading this story sends a powerful message. Kids, don't go to Danville Middle School unless you want to get the piss scared out of you by the Son of Frankenstein. I have seen dumb stories but this one truly takes the cake. What is America coming to when people have the right to wear sheets and hoods, but a little girl can not pee on herself when she is scared. Man I wish flogging was not illegal, because I think the principal deserves to have the crap beat out of him.
Hey! What's On Your Phone Bill?

I was recently talking to my fiance, and she told me of a story in the news about a little old lady who recently received a very shocking revelation. This lady, from Ohio, recently check her phone bill and discovered she had a $30 quarterly charge for rental of a rotary telephone. Ok, not too odd right? Well according to the lady, the charge has been there for more than 60 years, even though the service was upgraded to touch tone more than 30 years ago. Here is a lady who never had a reason to question her phone company, because she never really experienced any issued with her service.By calculations, over the course of 30 plus years that quarterly $30 charges totalled to be more than $3600 in unnecessary revenue for the phone company. And she is not alone.

In talking with my fiance, I discovered that there people in South Carolina who are paying monthly or quarterly rental fees for a rotary phone equipment that they either are not aware of, or just plain no longer have. By phone company estimates there are at least 40 million documented people who were leasing rotary phones, and that number supposedly dropped to 750,000 since September 14 of 2006. Just think if all 750,000 were paying $30 quarterly for at least 20 years. That would equal to $1,800,000,000.00 in free money just given away to the phone company. Donald Trump, eat your heart out.

That is an aweful lot of money to just throw away. Think of all of the nice cars and houses, and Christmas gifts that could have been bought with that money. I can not state this enough, check you bills carefully each month.

Just a public service announcement.

Headlines Of An Execution

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush has not seen the illicit video of Saddam Hussein's execution because he is focused on the "way forward" in Iraq, the White House said on Wednesday.

>> Now let me ask you this; As visable as that grainy video was, how is it possible that Bush did not see it? I know what the news says, but you know me, I have a totally different theory. Bush did not see the video simply because Bush did not care to see it. "Focused on The Way Forward in Iraq"? What kind of crap is that? There is no way forward in Iraq, it is a quagmire, just as Vietnam was. The only way forward is to figure a way out for our troops. It will not be long before the Sunni's escalate their response to the execution of Saddam, and when that happens we will have another Vietnam. Bush can pretend all he wants. He did not see the video because he chose not to witness his handywork. He got his wish, he killed the man who wanted to kill his daddy. Did not fix a thing in Iraq, but it sure helped him get his rocks off.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces had no role in Saddam Hussein's hanging, but would have handled it differently, a U.S. general said on Wednesday as Iraqi authorities questioned a guard over a video of officials taunting Saddam on the gallows.

>> Well this one is not exactly true. The US Military handed him (Saddam) over to the Iraqi government. Other than that, I agree that the hands of our military members are clean. I do believe that the entire process would have been handled differently under the jurisdiction of a US Military court. A conviction in a US Military Court requires a Perponderous of Evidence. I am not saying that the outcome would have been any different, nor would I have desired to see a different outcome; however, I do feel that Saddam would have faced justice in all of the crimes he was charged with. I can't say that I would have agreed with the Death Penalty. I would have preferred to stick him away is some dank isolated cell, surrounded by pigs, and far removed from anything intelligent. Just put him there and leave him there until nature took him to the end of his days. To me, that would have been more preferential than turning him into a Martyr.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration sent conflicting signals Wednesday about the taunting and baiting that accompanied Saddam Hussein's execution, with the White House declining to join criticism of the procedure and the State Department and U.S. military raising questions about it.

>> Ok, Ok. So check this out. The Bush Administration refuses to take a position on the taunting of Saddam Hussein during the execution process. I wonder if Bush was wishing there was a way to say "Ah-Ha, That's what you get for wanting to kill my daddy!"? Look, I am noone's expert on the death penalty, or execution processes; additionally, I am not one who had any kind of love for Saddam Hussein, but still, even a lowly dog deserves to die with dignity. Ok, maybe in the eyes of the world Saddam was considered like a maggot on a piece of dog crap, and that is fine, but even the maggot is allowed to turn into a fly before it is swatted. Then again, the flip side of the arguement is that Saddam did not allow his country people to die with dignity when he released poison gas on them. This is give or take. Personally, I would have merely smiled with the knowledge that Saddam's tyrany will no longer plague the nation. At least that would have given the impression of a dignified execution.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraqi authorities reported the arrests Wednesday of two guards and an official who supervised Saddam Hussein's hanging and said the guard force was infiltrated by outsiders who taunted the former leader and shot the video showing his body dangling at the end of a rope.

>> Oh, spare me the acrimony!! We have a police force that is trained by the finest military in the world, and you mean to tell me that the Guard Force was infiltrated by outsiders? Who in the heck do they think they are fooling. Let's talk about that camera phone. First, Iraq is a third world nation that has been financially oppressed by the world's sole remaining superpower for more than a decade prior to Saddam being toppled. The camera phone used had features that make even the best that Verizon has to offer look like a cheap knock off. That tells me that the phone was supplied by someone with ties to the western world. Then again, one of the guards looked as if he was wearing Kahki pants and a US Navy green Aviator's Jacket. Heck he could have gotten that from a military surplus depot, who the heck knows. Afterall, the US Military had nothing to do with the execution.

-- Look, just like many in the world, I am glad Saddam Hussein is dead, but I am still curious about such things as the timing of the event, and the verbal exchange prior to the execution. Ccconsidering the way it was carried out, the death of Saddam Hussein appears to be more like an assassination as opposed to an execution. I could be wrong, and if I am, why rush the execution before the Kurds and the Kuwaitis has their say in court? So many unanswered questions.
Muffed Up Moms

Seems like just about every day, I pick up a news paper and I read about some "Dead Beat Dad" who is not fulfilling his child support obligations. Now, true to form, there are several fathers who could be doing a better job, but that is not what I here to talk about today.

I want to talk about those good for nothing worthless women who refuse to be a part of their children's lives. You know the ones I am referring to; the ones who walk away from their children, and blame the children's father (who ironically is the one who is now taking care of the children) for everything. These are the women who get divorced, leave the children in the custody of the fathers, and then pretend that they do not have children.

Yeah, this one touches a nerve in me because I have one of those ignorant excuses for a waste of human flesh. We separated in 1992, and I arranged for us to go to court to discuss child custody. I was still active duty in the Navy at the time, and just knew it would be best for her to take custody. Unfortunately because of her ignorance, and the crack head she was shacking with at the time, she refused to come to court, and the judge awarded me custody by default. Of course, this would cause me to have to leave the Navy because of the requirement for me to be a full time father.

Now, I decided not to go after her for child support, partially becuase she said I would get it over her dead body. As such, I decided to just leave it alone, and did not actually decided to pursue child support until she revealed that she was going after the drug dealing baby daddy of her other daughter for child support. I think what really made me finally decide to do it was after she told me that there is a law in the State of Wisconsin that says the custodial father does not get child support. I guess she did not think I was smart enough to know how to communicate with the State of Wisconsin via email. She found out when the judge ordered her to pay child support. To this day, I think she is still behind, but it really did not matter much; afterall, I made my point.

She has had several opportunities to visit her children, but refused to. Amazingly see seems to always get amnesia around Christmas and birthdays, because in more than 13 years my children still have yet to receive a gift from her. Then there are the countless broken promises, the lies, and the belittling conversations.

Bottom line is this, she has not done anything for these children, nor does she plan to do anything for them. Seems the only thing she is good for is blaming me for her woes in life. Honestly, I really don't care how she feels, because this situation is not about me or her. This situation is about her lack of concern for two beings that she gave birth to. Yeah, everyone talks about "Dead Beat Dads"; what about those "Muffed Up Moms"? Talk about that.

Pistol Packing Judges?

No this is not a scene from Judge Dread. In fact, it is not a fantasy at all, at least not in the State of Kansas.

Like many Americans, I watched the news of things to come in the new year. In the news, there was talk about some new laws - Laws Of The weird - that were signed into effect for the new year. Some of these laws, like the California law that punishes people for taking too many copies of a free publication, were just plain dumb; however, it was a new law in Kansas which grabbed my attention.

Judges in Kansas are now allowed to carry firearms into the court room. That's right, you heard me, the bench is now packing heat. More over than that, it is now legal to do so in the State of Kansas.

Ok, I will be the very first to admit that I am not the most astute person when it comes to matters of the court room, but I always thought that the purpose of the bailiff was to maintain order in the court. Is this new law saying that the bailiffs are lacking (a pair of pebbles), so now the judge must come packing? I mean let's be realistic, most courts houses are equipped with metal detectors, security cameras, armed security, and other security features. Well, let me say that any court house I have ever been in has those features.

I am not saying that it is wrong to arm judges, but I am concerned that the State of Kansas may set into motion a chain of event that could become detrimental to the effective administration of justice. I am sure that there are pros and cons to this new law. For Instance:

Pro: People will be less encouraged to become aggressive in the court rooms.
Con: What if the judge thinks he is John Wayne, and forgets where he is?

So, can we expect to see signs like "Leave Your Attitude At The Door, Kansas Don't Play That!", or "Screw The Dog, Beware Of The Judge!" on the doors of Kansas court rooms? Will the only respected law firm be the law firm of Smith and Wesson? I guess only time will tell.

Allow me to take a brief moment to introduce myself. I am someone who looks at the world through the eyes of the unbiased, considering situations from multiple aspects, and presenting commentary that some would consider to be hard to swallow.

I am the person who will stand in the face of the Republicans, lamb-baste the Democrats, and cross swords with the Independents. Political correctness is not my forte', for I prefer to take the path of truth. While others choose to sweep a fact under the carpet for the sake of not offending another, I am the person who will take that very fact and shove it right down the throats of the ones who tried to hide it in the first place.

soap box? Who needs a stinking soapbox? I prefer to stand on convictions, be they popular or not. I am the person who will place the Nations of Islam in the same domestic terrorist category as the Klu Klux Klan, Aryan Nation, and Skinheads. As I see it, right is right, wrong is wrong, truth is truth and a lie is a lie. I am an equal opportunity purveyor of the truth. I am like the nurse that you hate to see when you are sick, that very nurse who brings the nastiest of medicines.

I am also a kind ear, and a sympathetic heart with a concern for the underdog. I am a voice that speaks for the weak and down-trodden, whose tongue is like a mighty sword against the forces of oppression.
